Amy Tech Sold!
If you've seen our Special Issue you'll already know that the liquidators of ESCOM AG have accepted the offers made by the american PC builder Gateway 2000 for the acquisition of Amy Tech.
At the moment there aren't other news, so if you want to see the text of the press release check our Special Issue or go to Amiga Technologies or Gateway 2000 WEB site.
Myst finally announced
A big news comes from Canada, Click BOOM has announced that has acquired the license of converting this superb game on Amiga!
The game should be avaible at the end of summer for AGA Amigas only in the CD format.
Islona
Epic, the creators of some good CD-Rom for Amiga (like the Epic Interactive Encyclopedia), has announced a new games label called Islona.
This new software house will publish titles for both floppy and CD format. Islona has made an agreement with APC&TCP to publish a lot of games.
For this month they've announced Marbelous a puzzle game with a decent gfx and Kargon a RPG with a 2 player split screen option and with
a good gfx. In May they'll release Testamet a doom clone that isn't very impressive and probably Fliyn' Hight the great racing game previewed this month.
Albion on Amiga!!!
The makers of Ambermoon produced last year this beautiful RPG for PC. Now seems that an Amiga version is coming infact they've made avaible via Aminet the 3D routines and are currently looking for programmers that will convert it to Amiga.
We've seen the demo of the 3D engine that was very good. It's 1x1 pixels 2/3 of screen with 256 colour. For basic A1200
owners there's the possibility of 2x2 pixels resolution during movements, when you stop resolution returns to 1x1, this is very good!
We hope to see the final game soon, because Albion could become one of the greatest RPG on Amiga!
TFX Returns!
The mithical TFX from DID is finished but will be not released! It'll be presented during World of Amiga in London by CU Amiga Magazine.
We think that TFX could became a great succes if published, so send a lot of e-mail to Ocean asking to publish it!!!
World of Amiga Show
Also this year will be held in Hammersmith (London) the annual World of Amiga. Apart TFX there will be a lot of new releases
during the show. Has been announced the partecipation of Nova Design, HiQ, Scala UK, Blittersoft, Direct Software etc..
Master Axe released
This beat'em up was announced two years ago by Millenium, but wasn't released. Now its author, Neil Axe, is going to publish it.
The game is for AGA Amigas, and has a beautiful gfx. Next month we'll have a full review of the game.
Applaud Software
Applaud Software, the makers of D.N.A., has announced a puzzle game called Blockhead that will be released during this month.
We'll have a review next month.
Another browser
Finale Development, a new Amiga software company, will release Web Cruiser a new browser with frames, tables and JAVA support!
It will be released before summer.
Another game from Mutation
Mutation software will release in their Value'n'Fun series Castle Kingdom, an isometric action game with a little gfx that reminds
some old C=64 classics. They've also reduced the price of previous titles, now Tin Toy (probably their best game) and Tommy Gun (reviewed last month) will cost only
12.99£.
Amy Tech Venduta!
Se avete avuto modo di vedere il nostro Numero Speciale sarete gia' a conoscenza del fatto che il liquidatore di ESCOM AG ha accettato l'offerta fatta dalla Gateway 2000, multinazionale americana che assembla PC, per l'acquisto di Amy Tech.
Al momento non abbiamo altre notizie, quindi se volete leggervi il comunicato stampa guardate il nostro Numero Speciale oppure andate al sito di Amiga Technologies o della Gateway 2000.
Myst verra' converito
Una grande notizia ci e' giunta dal Canada, la Click BOOM infatti ha annunciato che ha acquisito i diritti di conversione di questa superba avventura su Amiga!
Il gioco definitivo dovrebbe essere disponibile alla fine dell'estate solo per Amiga AGA nel solo formato CD.
Islona
La Epic, creatrice di molti CD-Rom per Amiga (come l'Epic Interactive Encyclopedia), ha annunciato una nuova etichetta dedicata ai giochi la Islona.
Questa nuova software house pubblichera' giochi sia su disco che su CD. La Islona ha stipulato un'accordo con la APC&TCP per pubblicare molti nuovi giochi.
Per questo mese hanno annunciato l'uscita di Marbelous un puzzle game con una grafica carina e Kargon un RPG con la possibilita' di giocare in due con lo split screen e con una
buona grafica. In Maggio pubblicheranno Testamet un clone di doom che non ci ha molto impressionato e probabilmente Fliyn' Hight il gran gioco di corse anticipato questo mese.
Albion su Amiga!!!
I creatori di Ambermoon l'anno scorso hanno prodotto per PC questo ottimo RPG. Ora sembra che sia in arrivo la versione Amiga, infatti su Aminet e' apparso un demo del motore 3D e pare che la Blue Byte stia cercando dei programmatori per ultimare la conversione.
Abbiamo avuto modo di vedere questa demo del motore 3D che si e' rivelato molto valido. E' in 1x1 a 2/3 di schermo con 256 colori. Per i possessori di A1200 base
ci sara' la possibilita' di una risoluzione 2x2 in movimento per poi tornare alla 1x1 quando ci si ferma, veramente una buona idea!
Speriamo di vedere il gioco finito molto presto, perche' Albion potrebbe diventare uno tra i migliori RPG su Amiga!
Il ritorno di TFX!
Il mitico TFX dei DID e' finito ma non sara' pubblicato! Sara' presentato al World of Amiga di Londra da CU Amiga Magazine.
Pensiamo che TFX potrebbe essere un grandissimo successo se pubblicato, quindi vi sproniamo a mandare un sacco di e-mail alla Ocean chiedendo che sia finalmente pubblicato!!!
World of Amiga Show
Anche quest'anno si terra' a Hammersmith (Londra) l'annuale World of Amiga. Oltre a TFX ci saranno un sacco di novita' presentate allo show.
E' gia' stata annunciata la presenza di Nova Design, HiQ, Scala UK, Blittersoft, Direct Software ecc..
Master Axe pubblicato
Questo beat'em up era stato annunciato circa due anni fa dalla Millenium, ma non era stato piu' pubblicato. Ora il suo creatore, Neil Axe, si e' deciso a pubblicarlo per proprio conto.
Il gioco e' per gli Amiga AGA, e ha una grafica molto accattivante. Il prossimo mese avremo la recensione completa.

Ancora un altro browser

Ancora un gioco della Mutation
Mutation software sta ultimando Castle Kingdom un nuovo gioco che andra' ad arricchire la loro serie Value'n'Fun. Questo titolo e' un action game isometrico con una grafica molto piccola che ricorda non poco i vecchi classici per C=64.
Hanno anche deciso di ridurre il prezzo dei loro titoli precedenti, ora Tin Toy (che e' probabilemente il loro miglior gioco) e Tommy Gun (recensito il mese scorso) costeranno solo
12.99£, circa 35.000 lire.
